PON ARCHITECTURES
 

Confused about acronyms like BPON, GPON, 10GPON/NG-PON, EPON, GePON, 10G-EPON and RFOG? You are not alone. These are just a few of the various passive optical network (PON) architectures that are utilized in FTTH  projects. All are excellent PON options and compatible with Pulse’s Distributed Tap design. Choosing the right PON architecture comes down to understanding the differences, weighing the pros and cons and making the right choice based on your particular circumstances.

•  We will bring you the top vendors in PON architectures including CommScope and Calix to review their solutions  for your customized market and needs

•  Pulse will also take part in those presentations to make sure the relevant topics are communicated and discussed

•  After all the presentations are complete, Pulse engineers will sit down with your team to  summarize the technologies, vendors and solutions

•  We will offer our recommendations and work with you to choose the PON you are most comfortable with, and regardless of the final choice, we will integrate  that PON into  the Distributed Tap design
