  • Business Development Financial Analyst

    Job Title: Business Development Financial Analyst
    Employment: Full-Time with at least 40 hours per week
    Location: Mishawaka, IN with little travel expected

    Position Summary:

    Work on the business development team to help determine how projects will be feasible. Consult throughout the process to move a project from a dream to reality.

    Role Qualifications:

    Position Responsibilities:
    • Run financial model for broadband feasibility studies
    • Work with team to determine what ratio of technology makes the model feasible
    • Design and maintain financial models

    • Train how to stress test and use financial models
    • Establish work flows, manage and track multiple projects, and meet necessary deadlines

    Essential Skills/abilities:
    • Aptitude in financial analysis

  • Fiber Network Designer

    Job Title: Fiber Network Designer
    Employment: Full-Time with at least 40 hours per week
    Location: Mishawaka, IN with little travel expected

    Position Summary: Responsible for the design and preparation of construction drawings for Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) projects. The Designer is required to import shape files, create fiber strand maps that include terminals, splices, splitter cabinets, and fiber placement & sizing. The Designer will also create and review BOMs, splice documents, and drop maps. The Designer must be adept at using GIS and CAD tools for design map creation and updating.

    Compensation: Competitive hourly wages dependent on experience. Health insurance, vacation, paid holidays and a 401k plan with company match.

    Role Qualifications:

    • Strong knowledge and experience working with GIS mapping tools such as QGIS, ArcGIS, and similar GIS systems
    • Experience in AutoCAD – experience with AutoCAD Map 3D a plus
    • OSP engineering experience preferred
    • Comprehension of RUS codes and/or telecom terminology
    • Ability to develop and understand construction maps
    • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products
    • Must be detail-oriented for prioritizing, planning and executing

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Import client shape files (e.g. electric utility feeder circuits)
    • Create strand maps that include terminals, splices, splitter cabinets, fiber placement & sizing
    • Create drop maps
    • Complete QGIS updates from customer field review
    • Create and review BOMs and ability to provide BOM training
    • Create and review splice docs and ability to provide splice doc training
    • QC drop maps and ability to provide drop map QC training
    • Train and QC all design process tasks that include: strand maps, final construction docs, BOMs, drop maps, and splice docs

    Essential Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Technology or related technical field or equivalent work experience
    • OSP engineering experience preferred
    • Experience working with GIS data, ArcGIS, or similar GIS systems
    • Experience working with AutoCAD or similar CAD system
    • Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

  • OSP Inspector Level II

    This position accurately records completed units placed by contractors and ensures safe work practices are being followed.

    THE MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY CAN INCLUDE:
    • Ability to follow OSHA/State/Local Safety Standards
    • Generate As-Built records, by hand or digital format
    • Identify and record deficiencies
    • Effectively communicate corrective actions to subcontractor
    • Effectively communicate with lessor experienced inspectors

    THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVES INCLUDE:
    • Record daily activities in construction inspector journal
    • Identify unsafe actions performed by contractor, record/report to crew, Pulse Supervisor
    • Provide guidance on engineered construction prints

    THE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
    • Safety
    — Review/Correct traffic control patterns, signs, flagmen
    — Understanding of required PPE
    • As-Builts
    — Record units placed
    — Record deviations from engineered plans
    — Record pertinent notes as related to construction events
    • Deficiencies
    — Recognize, record and report deficiencies to construction supervisor

    — Mentor fellow inspectors about lessons learned and give constructive advice
    — Support lower level inspectors, encourage independent actions as part of a team environment

  • OSP Engineer Level I

    This position collects aerial and underground route data required to construct new fiber optic network.

    THE MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY CAN INCLUDE:
    • Identify electric and communication make-ready per NESC and local requirements
    • Communicate QC/QA results with engineering department
    • Collaborate with client to ensure network design requirements are being met

  • Project Manager

    As the Project Manager you are responsible for the smooth functioning of day to day operations to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. The Project Manager, working independently or with direction from the team, implements the project plan and schedule, ensures safety and quality control, and delegates work to project team, contractors, and subcontract personnel.

    THE MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY CAN INCLUDE:
    • Manage client expectations and deliverables
    • Perform the PM responsibilities to launch project in the first 30-90 days as new projects come online
    • Assist with project recruiting, onboarding and staffing for all projects within assigned territory

    THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVES INCLUDE:
    • Ensure Pulse OSP procedures are being followed
    • Keep current and accurate records of completion
    • Single Point of Contact for assigned project

    THE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
    • Production
    — Develops and maintains the construction schedule in conjunction with project team to meet milestones and completion dates
    — Maintains, tracks, and reports financial aspects of project including forecasts and billings
    • Team Management
    — Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to promote overall compliance of HS&E standards, applicable OSHA regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project
    — Review personnel time for accuracy/approval
    — Supervise daily operations of OSP Engineering/Construction
    • Internal Design Review
    — Provide guidance to OSP Engineering
    — Facilitates project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the project’s ongoing progression
    — Works with project team to identify and manage opportunities and risks to achieve the best possible impact on schedule and financial targets

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
    • Command of NESC and RUS codes
    • Supervision of OSP Engineering and Construction team members
    • Provide guidance to performing contractors
    • Experience with telecommunications and civil utility construction is an asset.
    • Previous experience as a Project Manager or in a similar direct managerial / supervisory role.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, current construction practices and methodology.
    • Demonstrated negotiation/management skills.
    • Ability to plan and manage to a project schedule.
